Episode 69

(Feel free to jump right in and listen to this important podcast. My prayer is that it will change your way of thinking when it comes to Love.)

In this Episode I want to share with you a more in depth way of looking at Love through 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. While listening to a podcast a while back, Frank Viola mentioned a great way to read these selected verses. I truly believe that these verses are favored by many but are they really read in a deep way to get the full meaning? I first want to remind everyone of the 2 greatest commandments that Jesus shared: Matthew 22:37-39. Love, it’s all about Love, and remember John 3:16-17. God Loved and so He gave.

So now let me share with you what I learned from Frank Viola as well as what the Holy Spirit showed me a few days ago as I was sharing about this same verse with a good Friend that I have been teaching.

Before doing this I want you to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you as you read this.

While reading through 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 I want you to do something.

1st – Read through these verses in a translation that you can understand what you are reading.

2nd – Frank Viola mentioned to read through the verses and depending on your translation instead of saying: Love, Charity, etc., Say Jesus. And of course instead of it or it’s say He. Read through these verses doing as I suggested and let that sink in.

3rd – Read through the verses and depending on your translation just as step 2 except now say God instead of Jesus and of course “He or He’s” where applicable.

4th – Lastly as I shared with my Friend recently the Holy Spirit took me another step further and that was to read through the verses and depending on your translation just as step 2 & 3 except now say The Holy Spirit instead and of course “He or He’s” where applicable.

Now that you have read through these powerful verses I want you to reflect on your life. Remember when you repent of your sins and turn to Jesus asking Him into your life you get the Holy Spirit as referenced in Acts 2:38. That means all that Love dwells within you, you just have to allow it to come out of you and flow into others. Allowing it to penetrate through your mind, heart and soul as you live life daily. I am not saying it is going to be easy but that is why you have to rely on the Holy Spirit to help you daily.

My prayer is that this message will cause you to never read these verses the same way again. That you will learn to love no matter what. If you have to walk away from relationships, organizations, people, or even situations make sure you leave in Love. Will you get the same treatment back? Not every time but that’s ok, focus on your walk and representation of Jesus Christ in and through your life.

Lastly never forget that when you leave this earth and you are standing before the Lord, how many people will be standing beside you? None, so focus on Him and His Word, He commanded us to Love, so let’s be obedient and do as He commanded. Love You All and God Bless
